Blue Plate Special

This painting was a color challenge using yellow. I set up a still life and used an old blue plate and one of my yellow napkins to play off of. This is creates great contrast. Then I used a couple of tangerines and a Granny Smith Apple. It was fun working the brillient colors and  getting the composition just right. I thought 'Blue Plate Special' just was the perfect name for this painting.
