Life on the Ranch and in the Studio, and on the Road

Catch Me if You Can
'Catch Me if You Can', is a special sculpture of our oldest Scottish Terrier, Keelea. Kealea lived a long life of 17 years. She was a very special dog and gave us many hours of pleasure over the years. This sculpture was created near the end of her life while spending the summer at our cabin in Colorado. I was known as the lady with the Scotties. Because of my Scotties, many people owned them as wonderful pets.
Keelea was always on a leash but one day she needed to go outside, and I knew it was urgent so, without the leash and without putting on my shoes, I let her out knowing or thinking, she would come right back in. She took off down our long driveway to go for a walk to see her other scotty friend on the mountain, who walked with her on daily walks. I went chasing after her, barefoot and chasing her almost a quarter of a mile to the main road, with her looking behind herself over her shoulder, always just outside my reach.
I finally caught her and returned to sculpt this sculpture in one day.
