Sitting Pretty, Aglow

We feed lots of birds from our trees close to the house. Once in a while a get a really good phots of cardinals. This one is painted on the colored and primed panel in the style of Rita Kirkman. It is very difficult to paint on the heavy textured panel and use the pointillism type style that Rita has perfected. The panel will take many layers, and you want the orangey underpainting to glow through.
