Lonesome Dove

We are birdwatcher, my husband and I. We fweed birds and have many species come to our yard and feeders. This is one of the many doves that comes daily to our yard. They are so fun to watch, grazing and pecking on the ground. We have several species of doves. Eurasian and mourning doves. The Turtle dove is a favorite too. I remember as a child sitting on my grandmothers front porch and hearing this unusuall cooing in the old cedar tree next to the porch. Maybe that experience is why I love birds and now enjoy painting them.
