'Abby's Porch' is where Abby loved to be anytime except when it was cold. In the summer she would watch the hummingbirds, cattle in the pastures and sun herself when the sun beamed down this tha strong ray of light.
For the past three years Abby has been blind and could not see a thing, yet she continued to want to go to the porch and enjoy the fresh air, sunlight and the smells. We had to keep an eye as as her eyesight declined, we had to make sure she wouldn't fall from the porch as we have no railings. She could sense when she was close to the edge.
On this day I sat on Abby's Porch and pleinAir painted her in about 40 minutes. This was a very special treat for both of us. Little did I know, it was to be our last time on this porch together. What a treat to spend time on "Abby's Porch". It will certainly be different this coming spring. Fond memories!
