Born To This Land

As a kid growing up in western Oklahoma, I rode my pony through our pasture dotted by 'buffalo wallers' that looked like mini wading pools when the spring rains came. When we moved just a 100 miles east to the Tallgrass Prairie, I witnessed these magnificent animals grazing on the tall grass preserve near where I taught school. 'Born To This Land' is a tribute to the re-establishment of the once great bison herds to the country they once roamed and dominated.
