Toltec Player, 'Little Brother of War', 31"x8"x12", edition 13, depicts the 'Ultimate Contact Sport', StickBall, played by many of the tribes. The Choctaw began playing the accent game that evolved as a tribal ritual, for settling disputes between communities. The rough game was very physical with the only equipment being two stick and an small horsehair woven ball. Death and injuries occurred during these games. Women were not allowed to touch the sticks, however they could tackle the men. Men were not allowed to retaliate.
